Galactic Snake Skin: Recycled Manicure!

Hello Lovelies! I have kind of been obsessed with galaxy nails lately so I decided to do them for a concert I was going to this weekend. Check out how my most recent endeavor with them turned out.

I used O.P.I 'Lincoln Park After Dark' for the base and tons of different colors for the sponging. I also added glow in the dark Nebulas using a dotting tool and China Glazes 'Ghoulish Glow'. The dots glowed beautifully in the dark after being "charged" with a bright light for a few seconds, but the glowing didn't last long. I was ok with it not lasting that long though because I knew it was there and that worked for me hahaha. Tip: If you are going to do Glow in the dark dots you  might want to "double dot" just to make sure you get a good glow effect.

Using 'Joy' and 'Cherish' both from China Glaze and Bundle Monster plate BM-215 I stamped on a random snake skin pattern.

Up Close
I am kind of digging it with the frosty sea foam green and pretty purple. Less "Galactic" but still pretty cool. What do you guys think? I love recycling the Sponge Manicures, you can make them completely different!
I hope you all enjoyed this Manicure, thank you all so much for reading!  Also don't forget to enter my giveaway for a chance to win Urban Decay's Naked 2 Palette. Click HERE to enter!
Thats all for now, have a great week!

Galaxy nails!

Hello friends! Happy Friday!!
I have been seeing these nails all over the place and I absolutely LOVE them, so I had to give them a try. They are super easy and the possibilities are endless. I just used a black glitter base and a bunch of my favorite China Glaze colors to sponge on and VOILA!

The colors I used were all from China Glaze except for the base which is Goth from Orly.
China Glaze Lemon Fizz, Bohemian Escape, Grape Pop, Rich & Famous, Shower Together, SeƱorita Bonita. I used a white polish and a dotting tool to add some stars.

China Glaze in Fairy Dust (in hand) as a top coat to add some glittery goodness.

So Pretty :)
Thank you so much for checking out my Galaxy manicure, I hope you like it as much as I do. If you have any questions on the sponge manicure check out THIS post from my last sponge mani.

Have a great weekend!

Toxic Manicure featuring China Glaze Crackle Review

Hello Friends! The other day I went into Sally's trying to find China Glaze Hologram polish for my lovely friend Mackenzie . They were all sold out of the it but I did find one last lonely China Glaze crackle! They were having a sale on CG polish 2 for 10 bucks! So I had to pick another one..DUH! :) I had no idea which one to choose so I actually let my little one pick for me. Celtic Sun it was! That was the first one she went for..ha ha. You might want to put on some shades for this post. This is the BRIGHTEST Manicure I've ever done. Check out this Borderline Nail Fail/Cool Funky manicure.

China Glaze Celtic Sun (Neon)//China Glaze Crackle Glaze in Fault Line
THREE coats of Celtic Sun yellow/green jelly
They were NOT kidding about the neon-ness. WHOA! I would wear Celtic Sun by itself  only if  my nails were super short. By itself it is way too much with long nails. It's like toxically bright yellow green slime..ha ha. My Boyfriend said it reminded him of something from Ghost Busters.

I have been reading a lot of reviews where people said they had an issue with Fault Line not crackling very well but I didn't have an issue. It worked quite well for me. I kind of did a serpentine pattern so the crackle wasn't so vertical ( like it was in my O.P.I Black Shatter Mani). I really like how the China Glaze crackle applied. I am super stoked on it. I want all of the colors!

No lie, my eyes really are starting to hurt a bit after working on this post. Ha! This is brighter than a Lisa Frank Trapper Keeper!

Yeah I took it back to my child hood ha ha...people born in the 80's don't try to act like you don't remember this. How did we NOT go blind??

What do you guys think? Over the top or Edgy?  Thank you so much for reading, following, and leaving comments! I appreciate it SOOOO much! You guys are awesome :)

Peace, Love, and Blindingly Bright nails..oh and 80's/early 90's stationary.

Nail Fail...

Hey pretties! Check out this Nail Fail I had recently. I was so bummed because I really wanted this to work. Ha ha. In my mind it was pretty but in real life...well it belongs in the Nail Fail Category.

China Glaze Recycle as the Base. A pretty Grey Creme. This is a great base for Konading...usually.

China Glaze Harmony for the design using Konad plate M60...ummmmmm.

I love the grey and the Purple but the combination is wrong. I took this one off right away.

I really love this Plate design But I have to find a good combination  for it. What do you lovely ladies think would be a great combo for his design?  Thanks for reading and following if you have!

Pretty Purple Pattern!

Hello Sweeties! Sorry I didn't post anything yesterday..I was having some family time after work and then I crashed! I had a rough day at work ha ha. Check out this pretty Konad Manicure I did.

The Base is two coats of Orly Out Of This world and the Pattern is China Glaze Harmony.
Harmony is another color from the Romanitique collection and this one just like the others stamps BEAUTIFULLY!

I used Bundle Monster Plate BM20 for the design. I like this delicate pattern.

This is one of my sloppier manis (sorry ;P) But I like the color combination.  I like the Glitter effect of the base color and the nice light purple on top!
Thanks for Reading and Following if you have!

She's such a Space Cadet!

Hello lovelies! I got this interesting Orly color called Space Cadet from the Cosmic FX collection recently and it is a Chameleon! I applied Three coats and it didn't seem heavy at all. it only felt like one coat actually.

This color changes from green to purple to copper all very shimmery. It was like a different polish every angle. I got a lot of comment/compliments about this polish when I wore it.

A lot of other "nailies" are comparing this to Hard Candys Beatle..I tried looking for that polish but could find it to compare

I was kind of unsure about this polish in the beginning but it kind of grew on me..It looks very pretty in the sunlight and I love the fact that it changes a bunch!

Best Of 2010..Nails

Hello friends! In this post I am sharing with you one of my favorite Konad Manicures of the year. I actually only started Konading in the middle of October and this was the third design/color combination  I tried and I fell in love with it. I also got  a lot of compliments on this manicure as well, so I kept this one for 4 or 5 days. That is a LONG time for me!
Base color is TWO coats of China Glaze Grape Pop one of my favorite buys of the year, its a dark creme purple. the Flowers are  China Glaze White On White.

The design comes from Konad plate m73.  The detail of this design is so pretty. It's just very dainty and delicate..thats why I like to use a Darker Purple with it to kind of balance the softness of the little flowers and vines.

One of my favorite Manicures of 2010! This beauty will definitely be making an appearance in the New Year..For sure!! What do you guys think? What color combinations do you think would go good with this pretty design? Thanks for reading and following if you have!

Purple and Lime green Leopard Mani!

I did this fun Manicure with my favorite Konad plate. It's plate M57 and I LOVE the leopard print. Purple is my favorite color but I promise there will be posts where my nails are NOT purple ha ha. I like the Purple and Lime green Color combination a lot, super fun!  Eventually I will post a video on how I do my Konad manicures..everyone has their own way of doing them but I will show you what works best for me. :)
Sally Hansen Green with Envy  and China Glaze Spontaneous

I used 2 coats of each polish..and then a coat of Seche Vite Top Coat for quick drying. The pattern is OPI Black Onyx I used my handy dandy Dotting tool for the dots and then a final coat of Seche Vite to seal everything!

Polka Dot Mani!!

Sorry for the blurryness of this photo...The base was two Coats of China Glaze VIII..I got this color to use for Halloween because I LOVE dark, vampy long nails for the holiday, but I fell in love with it and it is now one of my new favorites. Its a rich deep purple creme....*sigh* LOVE it!
Then with a dotting tool I got from Sallys Beauty Supply I used China Glaze Devotion for the dots..

This is the first time I have done this Polka dot French tip Manicure and I like it a lot! I will definitely be trying this with more color combinations in the future!
