Let It Snow!

Hello lovelies! Here is a winter inspired Holiday manicure for ya!

Two coats of China Glaze Midnight Mission a beautiful shimmery navy blue. I used a Finger Paints Paper Mache for the snow flakes. The plate used for the design is Bundle Monster BM-213.

I wanted to add a bit more sparkle so I used the China Glaze Wireless Holographic Top Coat to make it twinkle.

Midnight Mission is one of the polishes that I completely forgot that I had and just found while I was dusting and organizing my vanity like a maniac. Ha! It's pretty perfect for a this time of year and is a great base against the white snow flakes.

BAM! Preeety!
The end result with the holo top coat and a topping of Seche Vite for shine. I hope you enjoy this manicure, all of the Christmas inspired manicures I have been seeing are making my day and getting me even more pumped for Christmas. 13 days away!!!

Thank you for reading, commenting, all of that fun stuff! ALSO,  my newest addiction lately has been Instagram so if you have an iPhone look me up under Electricbrrrd. I can't get enough of the awesome pictures people post, so find me and I will follow you for sure! Thanks again friends!

There's NOTHING wrong with a little...experimenting!

Hey friends!  I have always been a fan of mixing colors to make my own new, custom colors. In the nail polish world its called a Franken (which I think is pretty freaking cool lol!) Now, keep an open mind when mixing...they can't all be gems. Sometimes the color isn't what you expect, sometimes different nail polish formulas don't mix well at all and the application of the "new" polish is crap even though the color looks fabulous in the bottle, you just never know until you put it on your nail. I guess thats just the way it goes...I usually mix with polish that I am running out of..especially If I like it enough to buy it again..its fun to see what you can make..for example...
I mixed Sally Hansen Celeb City//N.Y.C Skin Tight Denim Creme// Revlon Bewitching Bordeaux these mixed together make a nice shimmery dark purple with a brown undertone.

This was the final result! It's a little more brown then I like but I actually really like it on my nails..

The base was an almost empty bottle of Seche Vite top coat...well, almost empty to me is a third left in the bottle ha ha. All you polish junkies know there is NOTHING like a fresh bottle of Seche Vite *sigh*.  Also, since I did use Seche Vite as the base it dries SUPER FAST!

I might need to do a bit more tweaking to get the color Perfect...but the applications was GREAT! I used two coats but I honestly think one would have been enough. What do you lovelies think of this color? Would you wear it? How would you change it?

All in all I am pleased with this Franken, I can't wait to see it in the Sunlight. I think that will be the deciding factor in whether or not I change the formula or not..Oh and I am still trying to come up with a name for this color...Any suggestions??

Back in Black..Urban Decay: The Black Palette

Urban Decay is one of my favorite Make-up Lines. I fell in love with their bright, funky eyeshadow colors years ago and I have quite the collection. When a new palette gets released I get so excited! I get this feeling that I HAVE to have it..even if I have most of the colors I don't care. (I don't just use my eyeshadow for my eyes ha ha.) I recently saw in the Sephora catalog  the Urban Decay: Black Palette and the colors are beautiful! I bought it and in 4 days my new love was here! Check out the Pikchas!
As always with Urban Decay the Packaging is fun! Black with Sparkles..(I am pretty sure I will buy anything that has glitter on/in it..what can I say...I'm a Sucker)

Black Dog- Dark DARK matte Black
Barracuda(awesome song!) - Smokey Shimmery grey
Jet-Shimmery Plum
Sabbath- Deep Royal Blue with Shimmer
Cobra- Dark, Rich Olive green with Shimmer
Libertine- Hunter Green with Shimmer

The Bottom three are my favorites!
And as with most UD palettes It also come with a mini 24/7 eyeliner in ZERO and a Mini Primer Potion in Eden (not shown)
