Black and White Hounds Tooth Manicure

Hello friends! The other day I was in the mood to do a hounds tooth design, it had been a while and I wanted something Jazzy. Check it out.

I used my Konad plate in M63...this is a fun plate. The hounds tooth is one of my favorite patterns, one that I was most excited to do when I first started stamping.

Matte Monday! With Polka Dots!

Hey Loves! This Matte Monday Manicure features China Glaze Below Deck and some cute white Polka dots. Very fun!

China Glaze Below Deck and the Polka dots are Orly Pointe Blanche. I used the Bundle Monster Plate BM19 for the design.

One coat of the super fast drying Essie Matte About You top coat and my mani is all set. This is a really good one for if you work in an office..not too busy and loud. I really don't care about that though. I will go to work with lime green and Magenta Leopard print. ha ha.

Matt Monday (Tuesday Edition) Nail Fail...

Matte Monday! With a bit of Sparkle!

Hey Muffins! I hope you had a great Monday!  Today was a a great day! I came home from work to an AWESOME surprise from my boyfriend! I am going to have a special post in regards to my surprise later on in the week :)  Here is my Matte Monday Manicure..even though its WAYYY too late haha.

Two Coats of China Glaze Let's Groove and one coat of Essie Matte About You. I aded a glittery accent nail with  China Glaze Nova.

Matte Monday!

Hello Cupcakes! Welcome to a New installment on The Brrrds Nest..Matte Monday! Instead of a Manic Monday why not have a Matte Mani...sounds way better right?  Check out this manicure I did with O.P.I You Don't Know Jaques! It's a pretty Brey (brown/grey). I love how tame it is. It stands out in its own calm way.

Two Coats of the color and then one coat of Essie's matte about you top coat.

I really don't use my Matte top coats enough..I've got like 16 of them so why not! I love the effect on this color.

I added a little Flower to jazz it up. I used a dotting tool..super simple.

**Matt Top Coat Comparison**

Hello loves! I know the Matte nail polish is an old trend in the nail polish community but its new to me! This is my first time working with Matte top coats and Nail polishes. I love trying new things!

I was trying out these three top coats the Hard Candy one was $4.00 at Walmart and the Essie Matte About You was $10.00 at Head2toebeauty.com and the China Glaze Matte Magic was $3.00 also at H2TB.com I also used Orly Matte Vinyl which is just a Matte Black Polish and that was $6.00.

BASICALLY....

They all look and feel the same.. ha ha. The Orly Matte Vinyl has a little more shine to it.

The Matte feel on my nails is kind of trippy. I like it a lot though. I can't wait to try it with a bunch of other colors. My boyfriend always checks out my Manicures and he was pretty curious about the Matte Polish Top Coat. "So you can put that on a Shiny blue and it will turn Matte?...Whoa Chemistry is crazy...I wonder how they do that.  That's kinda cool" hahaha He's so cute!

On everything but the pinky nails is 2 coats of China Glaze Liquid Leather. and on my Ring, Middle, And pointer  are two coats of the Matt polishes. On my Pinky nail is the two coats of Orly Matte Viny. I left my thumb shiny.= so you can see the comparison. Way different!!

Murdered Out!!

Basically I would go with the China Glaze or Hard Candy matte top coats because they are way cheaper and do the same thing as the Essie Top coat. They all seemed to dry at the same time also. I think I am good on Matte Top Coats for a while hahaha. Do you guys like the Matte Look? What matte polishes do you like? Thanks for reading and following if you have!!
